All’interno della tenuta Gabella si trovano due antiche case fortificate ai tempi del brigantaggio, nei primi anni dell’Ottocento. Qui, a Le Carolee, dove nelle giornate più limpide è possibile ammirare le isole Eolie e talvolta anche il pennacchio dell’Etna, in un’oasi di quiete e tranquillità, nel verde degli ulivi, la famiglia Gaetano accoglie gli ospiti secondo le regole e le consuetudini dell’antica xenia

Beautiful place where we would like to come back !
We went there in June 2018 with 5-months old baby and we would like to visit this great place once again. The staff was very polite and helpful. We had a flight back home very early in the morning, and they have prepared for us breakfast that was already waiting in the dining room. They offered fruits, cheese, ham or eggs in addition to the sweet breakfasts that were served. All the meals were very tasty. It was possible to order some snacks and pasta during the day. The dinner consisted of antipasti, first dish, second dish, fruits/dessert and digestif. Rooms were meticulously cleaned and well equipped. The villa is beautiful, located at the hill with an amazing view, but a bit far from the town, therefore there are no shops/restaurants in the walking distance. It is a good base camp for the trips in Calabria, very close to the airport.

Perfect breakfast, they were nice to try and accommodate to different types of breakfasts, served outside, in a beautiful scenery, cannot beat this...Nice local cheese, great variety of home made jams.
I cannot think of anything I did not like...maybe the road to get to the property is a little tricky...narrow street. But this is not something which could be improved by the property.

Kalabria w pigułce. Góry, morze na horyzoncie, doliny, plantacje drzew oliwnych
Piękne miejsce. Widoki obłędne. Cisza i spokój. Daleko od zgiełku włoskich miast. Cudowne miejsce na relaks nawet poza sezonem. Personel wspaniały. A jedzenie - trzeba tego spróbować. Wyśmienite!!! Na miejscu można też kupić lokalną oliwę.
